                                 AJ Casey Prospect Overview

AJ Casey is one of the best 2022 prospects in the entire country, coming in at #20 in the nation, and has a 5 star rating per 247 sports. Casey is currently the best 2022 prospect in the state of Illinois and currently plays at Whitney Young high school, which has produced major talent in the last few years including former 5 star and current Duke Blue Devil DJ Steward. AJ currently holds offers from DePaul, Illinois, Ohio State, Kansas, Iowa State and Nebraska and interests from many other schools. Casey is a 6’8 200 pound Power Forward, per Rivals. Whitney Young will be AJs third high school, previously playing for Simeon and Tinley Park, respectfully. Casey is known for his rare combination of size and mobility. He received national attention as a freshman at Simeon and made the decision to transfer to Tinley Park, which was shocking as Tinley Park had not won a regional in a decade before he came. In his sophomore season, Casey averaged 22 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists and blocks per game and led the Titans to an 18-12 record. Casey is a great defender and his rim protecting skills on defense and his ability to finish at the rim and shoot on the perimeter.


Overall AJ Casey is one of the best power forwards in the entire country and will be a player to look out for in the coming years. As time progresses Casey will pick up even more offers and become even better and perfect his game. Casey’s current crystal ball on rivals predicts a 73% to the University of Illinois, AJs first offer and in-state squad. Whichever school AJ commits too will land a very promising player with sky high potential and elite athleticism.

Florida's Recent Struggles by Allison Farnworth

  After Saturday’s 18 point loss against an unranked Kentucky team, and a 15 point loss ag ainst Alabama last week, the Florida Gators seem to have fallen out of rhythm. It’s easy to blame these struggles on being without SEC Preseason Player of the Year Keyontae Johnson, who collapsed early into a game against FSU, but this Florida team has depth and talent that can still win games and compete at a high level. After wins against Vanderbilt and a strong LSU team in the first week of SEC play, center Colin Castleton stood out, scoring 23 points on Vanderbilt and 21 on LSU.
